Harlem Supervisor – Not accepting Clients

I have been a practicing social worker for over 30 years, providing short-term, goal-oriented treatment with ethnically diverse populations, spanning from early childhood through older adults. My style is to collaborate with clients, partnering with them to help in all aspects of the healing process.

My approach is holistic in nature, often involving stress-reduction relaxation techniques, mindfulness, and meditation. My aim is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore and understand themselves, discover and enhance their strengths — all in pursuit of achieving their goals. To help at-risk students develop the ability to regulate their behavior, I invented the Right Brain Counseling Method.

As a supervisor, my goal is to allow each therapist to find their own voice by developing self-confidence and the skills to navigate successfully all the complex aspects of the therapy process. I am a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R). I have an MSW from the Yeshiva University Wurzweiler School of Social Work; an FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) from the College of New Rochelle; an MeD (Master in Bilingual Education) from Bank Street College of Education; a BS in Nursing from Long Island University; and a BS in Social Work from York College.
